About the event
The Institute for Fiscal Studies is conducting a 5 year study of inequalities in the UK, funded by the Nuffield Foundation and chaired by Nobel Laureate Professor Sir Angus Deaton, the Deaton Review. Concerns about inequality and its effects lie at the heart of our political discourse. Aiming to understand inequality not just of income, but of health, wealth and opportunity too, this five-year study will be the most ambitious of its kind yet attempted. Working with some of the world’s leading social scientists, our aim is not just to understand what drives inequality but what can and should be done about it.
The IFS and CReAM are co-organizing an online workshop covering two aspects of the Deaton Review, Race and Ethnicity and Immigration on the 10th and 11th December 2020. Organizers are Christian Dustmann, Lucinda Platt and Imran Rasul.

- The online seminars are held on Zoom and last 75 minutes; 60 minutes are allocated to the seminar and 15 minutes for discussion
