Research by Christian Dustmann and Thomas Cornelissen finds that boys from disadvantaged backgrounds benefit most from early schooling, helping to narrow the skills gap (60-80%) with boys from high socio-economic backgrounds.

Alexandra Fedorets

Alexandra Fedorets is a Postdoc Research Associate at the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin), where she works as an applied labour economist at the Socio-economic Panel. Currently, her main research focus is on the evaluation of the introduction of statutory minimum wages in Germany in 2015. She also contributes evidence to the reports of the German Minimum Wage Commission and advises media on the effects of the reform.

Greta Morando

Greta received a PhD in Economics from the University of Essex in 2017. She is a labour economist and is currently working on a project on human capital investment of natives and migrants in the UK, for which she received a ESRC Postdoctoral Fellowship at Royal Holloway, University of London. She will be visiting CReAM for the academic year 2018/9. She previously worked as a Senior Research Associate at the Institute of Education, UCL.
